Shahid Kapoor Reveals 'Kabir Singh' Made Him Give Up On Smoking; 'I Think The Movie Kind Of Did It For Me, I Am Done'
Shahid Kapoor reveals Kabir Singh made him quit smoking
Shahid Kapoor is one of the most popular stars of Bollywood. With hard work and talent, Shahid has carved a niche for himself in the industry. Over the years, Shahid has been a part of many films and delivered phenomenal performances in each. He has proved that he is a terrific actor. Last, Shahid was seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Kabir Singh. The actor essayed the role of a surgeon Kabir Rajdheer Singh.
In a recent interview with social media influencer Ranveer Allahbadia, he revealed that the amount of smoking during Kabir Singh's filming made him quit smoking in real life.
Talking about his lifestyle, Shahid said, "Physically, I'm pretty disciplined when it comes to sleep now. I used to be a complete insomniac, and I flipped that after I had my kids. Because I decided that I need to run my day according to them because they can't run it according to me. And I'm vegetarian, and I don't drink." He added, "I have been a smoker on and off now for a few years, I haven't smoked. I think Kabir Singh kind of did it for me. I can't. I'm done. I was done."
Shahid is currently awaiting the release of his film Jersey. The sports drama is a remake of the Telugu hit 'Jersey' which starred Nani in the lead role. Apart from Shahid, it also stars Pankaj Kapur and Mrunal Thakur. The movie is scheduled to be released on April 22, 2022.
Earlier during an Instagram live session, Shahid had revealed the reason behind doing the remake. He had said that Jersey's story, about a man who finds fame late in his life, resonated with him as he has also gone through his share of lows in his career.
